Any tips to boiling eggs

I microwave 4 eggs at a time in an egg boiler. The container looks like an egg, the top half comes off, fill bottom with water an inch or so, then place the eggs inside over water on a metal tray designed to hold 4 eggs. Put lid on then nuke for 6 minutes on high, let sit for 6 minutes, then into an ice bath. THE BEST!! The shells really slide off and the eggs are perfect every time.

OHHHH I can answer this! I found it on line last week, I tried it not expecting it to work but I was in a bind and needed hard boiled eggs. Guess what! It worked! These eggs I took from the coop and boiled were easier to peel then store bought eggs. I never would have believed it had I not tried. Here is what you do.

Place eggs in pot.
Add cold water to cover.
Shake in some salt and a splash of vinegar.
Bring to boil.
Boil covered for 10 minutes.
Drain hot water
Now the most important part!
SHAKE PAN TO CRACK SHELLS. smash them against the pan until every one has some cracks
add cold water to cover and ice cubes.
Let sit until completely cool.
The shells fall right off... I swear!

LOL I'm tickled to get to share what I learned. I seriously took the eggs from the nest and boiled them and it worked!
