Any Update with NPIP?

I'm still wanting to get my current flock NPIP tested and was wondering if there had been any updates on the antigen shortage in order to get the flock tested and certified?

Yeah, that's what I thought. I don't see any point in repeatedly reaching out to a tester and them not be able to perform the tests. Which then frustrates me because technically/legally, I shouldn't be selling eggs or birds to people through shipping. Plus it's nice to know your birds are clean. @Kiki Do you have any updates/information?

Still out here in Missouri as well. I'm pretty sure Kansas "friend of mine is a tester" is still out as well. No indication that I've heard of when more will be available either.

So are we simply suppose to ignore the legality and sell birds without being certified? Or as NPIP certifications expire are breeders supposed to stop selling and showing?

Most of the shows/sales/auctions/swaps I know of "in my area" have waved the testing requirements due to no antigen available for testing.

That's good to know. I know it's common for serious buyers to ask for certification and for sellers to disclose that information, but I hate not being able to say that I am after being certified when I was 16 and a nice gentleman from A&M showed up and did it.

I had not heard that. Luckily in MO my birds were tested in September.

I know what you mean. I always get a copy when I buy birds for my records.
