Any way to get that "smell" out of the galvanized waterer?

I follow the advise given here in the site and keep the water can very clean for my girls; however, that metallic scent is very apparent.

Can this smell be neutralized?

There is really not much you can do about it,it's just one of the downfalls of using metal.Anything you use on it to rid the smell like lemon juice or apple cider vinegar will affect the galvanize. Will
