Anybody do artwork on a tablet?

I have a large one it's all i know how to use but i have read that some folks swear by the little ones.

I'll stick with the large cause i can do my drawings on the tablet in normal size for me, drawing small is getting harder with age due to eyes and arthritus<(sp).

Beautiful paintings Michelle! I can't believe how life like those are! I LOVE the horse and the little cowboy. How cute!

I have a bamboo pen tablet and it was only about $50 or so. It's about medium sized, but I don't notice too much of a difference. It just takes some getting used to!

I'll have to look into Twisted Brush. Corel is a pretty good program so far. I'm still learning though. I haven't tried Adobe with the tablet yet, but I will soon.

I'll probably work on something tonight to post!

Twistedbrush is wonderful

They have a great forum and contest if ya like that kinda thing, it is a nice family type of forum, lots of nice folks to help ya learn stuff if ya can't figure it out on your own.

Try the free download it is much bigger than when i first started, i think my lifetime membership had upgraded 17 times in the 3 years i have owned and it is cheap for what you are getting.

Ps you can download everything from the web with Twistedbrush so no waiting on your disk to arrive.

I finally finished my first painting! It's kind of rough because I'm still getting used to the tablet, but overall I'm pretty happy with it! I can't wait until I have time to do more! Much easier than spending a ton of money on different media to do real paintings!

so the tablet I was looking at was a bamboo for $750 is this a waste of money it is around 18" x 24"This is the smallest size I do a regular oil painting on

I think $750 is a lot for tablet if you are just starting out with one! My bamboo is a medium sized one and cost about $45 or $50 and it works very very well. It is called the wacom bamboo pen tablet. I would look it up on amazon. They seem to have the best deals! You really don't need a huge tablet because you can zoom in on your artwork if you need to work on details.
