Anybody due today 9/26? 3 so far

One is out completely, just fine.
The other 2 at the big end the shell has fellen off but they still have what I think is the membrane, on. They are moving around and peeping but not coming out of that thin layer. Is the membrane the thin layer between the shell and the chick itself?

Yeah!!! A live one

I'm not really sure about the others. Mine have bits of shell stuck to them. Yes, that is the membrane. Is your humidity staying up?

#2 hatched at 4:53

We all watched it hatch

It was a quick one since it was my last one to pip. It looks like it may ave some sort of growth on it's neck though.

I am not seeing any movement from my other zipper so I am getting worried. My wrong ender is still hanging on in there.

Peep #2

Yes, the membrane is between the shell and chick. As long as they are able to move around freely, I wouldn't worry about it. Later, after they come out of the incubator and into the brooder ~ you might have to take a warm paper towel and loosen it up some to peel off.

Someone correct me if I am wrong~

You are doing great!!!

I just confirmed that my other zipper didn't make it

It was perfectly formed and I think it drowned because the was right over thefull water well and a drop of water dripped off the egg when I picked it up. Poop baby

3 perfect chicks hatched! the 2 freed themselves and drying. The one that hatched a few hours ago, looks like it wants OUT of the bator. LOL, it keeps climbing to the glass and chirping at anyone that is watching.

WHO KNOWS WHEN I AM DUE??? The kids have been sneaking eggs into the bator...since???? I have one chick now, and ???????? I set some in (that were duds--I didn't know at the time) and left them...the next time I walked by and checked, I had 36 eggs!!!!!

Good Grief! Now I guess I have to hide the bator???

Yes, I guess you should hide it. I guess just wait and see

I am really not holding much hope now for my wrong ender. I tried to help it but it started to bleed. It is still alive for now. I helped my other glued baby and there is still a tiny bit of yolk so it is still attached to the shell by some threads and resting for now. I put it on a damp paper towel to help it stay moist. I'm not dure it's feet look OK.

I need to find a better way to get humidity in my bator. I have 3 dishes with sponges in there plus the wet paper towel and it is still in the 60's. I did calibrate.
