Lots of people. I cant wait to move the eggs to the hatcher. I plugged my hovabator 1602n in last night to make sure the temps are stable. I use that one as my hatcher.

Is anybody else going to be hatching in a carton? Ive hatched in a carton my last several hatches, and will never go back to just laying the eggs on the bator floor.

Yes.

I take a carton, cut the top off, and cut holes in the bottom for air circulation. On day 18 I move the eggs to the carton, fat end up. It seems like the chicks have an easier time hatching, and get out faster. Plus its alot easier to clean the incubator.

When you dont hatch in a carton, the eggs get laid on the floor of the incubator. When a chick hatches, it knocks around all of the other eggs, causing the chicks still in the shell to have to readjust themselves, making it harder to hatch.
