anybody have any remedies for newborn thrush?

Why the syrup? Is the baby also constipated? The syrup will upset his tummy if he isn't needing a bowel movement.

they changed his milk to alimenten or something like that....and he was not having bowel movements.....so I dont know....I agree with breastfeeding but she did not want to do that

go to walmart and get a bottle of gentian violet to paint his tongue. thats what the doctor will do and its only a dollar or so a bottle..it is neon purple though so watch out for stains!

His problem is going to be a reaction to that milk. Alimentum is for babies with allergic reactions. Poor little fella.

If you can get to an all night pharmacy buy the GV and use the smallest amount on a q-tip and paint his little mouth. Make sure he is sleeping on old sheets and wearing something you don't mind getting stained up badly. If he drools it will stain his face, chin, cheeks etc. Just keep him home for a a few days and it will wear off.

Ignore the breast feeding part and read about the purple stuffs usage about half way down.

we called all drug stores and none had the gentian violet.....I thought they would....walmart pharmacy is closed do they sell it without signing for it....just in the counters?

CVS/Rite-Aid/Walgreens doesn't have it?

you dont have to sign for it..it will most likely be on the shelf with the mercuriclear stuff, and iodine. sometimes they have it behind the counter but not always.

cvs is closed today we called walgreens they dont have it and riteaid dont have it .....does walmart keep it out on their shelves?

just go on the aisle with the iodine and rubbing alcohol.
its in a very small bottle.
