The TSC is Rock Hill SC has some. Cornish X, Americauna's, Res Sex Links, and two other breeds I couldn't figure out. I went this morning and watched them for awhile, but was a good girl and didn't bring any home.
I am getting mine in @ 3 weeks from a local feed store. They sure were cute tho!
TSC in Rincon, GA--the staff doesn't know when the chicks are coming, what days of the week, or what hatchery they come from. The also don't know what breeds are coming, when asked they say, "Whatever they send us" or "whenever the PO calls ".
So from pretty much stalking the store last year, I figured out that they generally get chicks in Wed--Friday. Breeds last year--"red pullets" aka golden comets, "black pullets" aka barred rock, light and dark brahmas, silver laced wyandottes, lots of cornish meat chicks, rhode island reds. The bantam "assortment" was essentially mille fleur d'uccle, silkies, and golden seabrights. However I did get an OEGB hen last year, and a bantam cochin the year before that.
I'm going to a local feed store that has already told me what breed, gender the chicks are, and what date they expect shipment. TSC employees here have no clue.
After several extremely unhelpful conversations with TSC employees over the last few days, I finally got someone on the phone who understands customer service and got an answer. The best part: they'll be there later today!
I am not going to get my chicks from TSC. Another local feed store has a better selection, no minimum order and I can reserve them ahead of time. Only three more weeks for my little peepers
I was in TSC today in Madison, GA and they had chicks! Now they didn't have all their bins full, the bantams and the ducks were not in yet, but oh my!! We are planning on going back tomorrow. :0)
