That's a good one. Where are all the jobs the so called job creators created hiding at. Have you ever wondered that? People that net under 1 million aren't creating jobs. Neither are those over 1 million. At least not in America. They are creating quite a few in Asia though. As a matter of fact they are moving quite a few from America to Asia. In my opinion any one making over 50k should pay an extra 3% and that includes me. We have a serious deficit problem in this country and it's not going to be solved by giving more tax breaks. They should give companies tax breaks if needed to get them back to America. Instead of giving them breaks to move overseas. Obama has tried to get legislation passed to stop those tax breaks for shipping jobs overseas. The bill has passed in the House but can't get by the Senate. For some reason part of the Senate doesn't want the jobs to come back.

BTW the tax cuts for the wealthy will continue in exchange for continuing unemployment benefits. Obama officially caved in today. He didn't really have a choice. The unemployed were being held hostage. The so called job creators will be able to continue investing that extra 3% into the derivatives market. Where have these so called job creators been keeping their creations at anyway? They've been singing that tune for 9 years now. Don't bother answering that. We know where the jobs are hiding. China.

WE THE PEOPLE are the blame for jobs going oversea....if we would stop buying whats made when these company move oversea they would be back......no good to make something cheaper if nobody buys it....just take a look around....heck people DON'T even check were thing are made anymore......even when they were given money for their clunkers...only 2 out of the top 10 cars were American cars...their your problem where the jobs are. That money was to put people back to work...RIGHT

they are creating jobs by going out to expensive dinners, buying boats , taking vacations ,having contractors add on to their houses , putting in swimming pools, buying new cars , hiring folks to paint their houses, hiring folks to landscape their yards and mow them weekly, lets face it around 70 percent of the buisinesses left in this country are small buissinesses, who pay their taxes through income taxes. so lets tax them more so the govt can continue its assault on the middle class! just sayin.

Problem is licenses and inspections and each town you have to get a license to sell food. etc.. etc..
Yup... my hubbys life long dream is to have a hot dog cart... *sigh* Gotta love the man.

Good for him! Lateral thinking will create opportunities that others miss.

There's a business, US based I'm sure, that sells Thai noodle carts and ingredients. You can adapt the carts to most street food. Here's a pic. of the cart they sell:

And here the URL of the businesses website:

Thai noodles in a good sauce make a great snack or side dish, by the way. My wife wholesales packs of noodles with sachets of a local traditional sauce and she's up to her eyes in orders and constantly cooking up the sauce in a huge wok. Here's what she does:

If anyone is into import and there's an economic way to ship them, she would be glad to supply. Otherwise, keep thinking of new ideas rather than waste time looking for someone to blame for what's going on. We all know who did it but they ain't gonna help anyone recover.

You've got to love the parrotting of talking points.........THERE IS ONLY ONE THING THAT ADDS TO THE DEFECIT, AND THAT IS SPENDING. The govt. could grab every dime from every "rich person" and guess what, they would only find more ways to spend it, rather than to eliminate debt.

If all of these rich liberals are so passionate about paying down the debt, and really want to prove it, let them stroke a check....The truth is, they just love confiscating OPM.

Yes I enjoy almost all of your postings Royd.

Earned income credit is for people that make under the poverty level but still earn income and support children. You know people that need the money to try to keep a child alive and clothed and maybe keep him or her off drugs and out of jail. Somebody that needs that extra 1500.00. Of course that money would be better spent building a bomb or something.

LACK OF REVENUE ALSO ADDS TO THE DEFICIT THROUGH LESS PRINCIPLE BEING PAID.

You do deserve better!! I know what your going through, and I feel for you. It kills my husband everday that we struggle, but we make it. We went from owning a business that brought in over $500,000 a year, to him working a $14 an hour job now. He started at $9 and got a raise. We lost almost everything we had except our house. What we didn't lose, we sold so we could make it by. I wasn't too proud to accept food stamps, we needed them. We have paid our taxes, and it's okay to accept help.

I pray that God will pull everyone through these hard times.

Was wondering those on unemployment making extra money on the side, doesn't that reduce how much you get each week????

Yes.. you are allowed to make so much per week.(not sure of the amount).. if you go over that amount your benefits stop..and you need to reapply.

Try some work on the side if you can find it, stay within the law, learn new skills, make new contacts. You never know what might turn up.

Vfem, I know what you and lots of others are going through. We are going through it also, the last couple of years I have had to scramble to keep the bills paid. My regular employer has benn struggling to keep us working, and we work on infrastructure jobs AKA shovel ready jobs. I have had to work for 2-3 other companies to keep semi steady work. and have not worked for the last 1.5 weeks, on unemployment. have been calling all companies that I know daily, they say they would love to hire me if they had a project to go to. At my regular job I am a proj manager/ foreman/ pace setter, so they used to keep me busy during the off season but not for the last couple of years. It does not seem to be getting any better here either. I have been keeping an eye on your saga both here and at TEG, so i know how hard you and your hubby have been trying. Things are bound to get better for you guys cause you dont have any quit in you. Many folks that we know are struggling, losing their homes, cars, everything they have worked for, and most sadly some of them are starting to lose hope. These are hard times, but these times will define our character.
