Anybody play violin?

I played in 3rd and 4th grade, really only started because the teacher came in our room and played a song from "Fiddler on the Roof' That was my Mom's favorite musical and I sooo wanted to learn it and play it for her. I didnt get much past screeching before I lost interest though... I think I stayed in it long enough to pay off my instrument.

I love listening to others play. There's an awesome fiddler in a band called "Tempest" that
plays Celtic Rock. He's incredible. I sure can appreciate someone who plays it well after
trying to learn it.

I don't, my daughter did whilst in school, she was really good.....but like most things it fell by the wayside. I now have her violin on the wall with a picture of her next to it......

I always wanted to play piano.....my Dh bought me one, I am now "trying" to teach myself to play....but can only play a few "bits and pieces" its a long haul, but so worth while......

The neighbor next door to the barn we boarded my mares when we first got them, played. Her room was pretty much next to the ring. So we would ride while she practiced. Her dad would sit out on the porch and smoke his pipe. I have fond memories of the music and the smell of pipe tobacco and horse.

That is a really nice memory and I can just picture it in my mind...except for the part where you say "I don't lay"....is your alter ego a chicken?..... sorry could not resist and ROFL.....
