anybody raise sprouts to feed the chickens?

Thought you were reposting from a prewritten article, but you got a great deal on the fabric, I haven't seen it on sale like that in my area ever.

I have also used old sheets and have not had any mold issues at 4 days anyway. For those non sewers among us, goodwill pillow cases could be a good no sew option.

I sprout alfalfa for my girls.I ordered some organic seeds from amazon last winter.I ordered a pound and I am still using them this winter.my girls gobble them up.

I was slow on getting started again this year, but tomorrow the gang will get thier sprouts again. They still have some grass/weeds just not nearly as much.

Got sprouts?

Thanks again, K. Been using the bags for 2 weeks and really love the way it works. (Even if I DID have to clean the laundry room sink

Your welcome glad it works as well for you as me. It is so completely easy I tried to grow fodder, but was way tooooo spoiled by the ease of sprouts.

My sprouts I started last week weren't doing much yesterday and today there seems to be several more that have sprouted but still only about 10% of the total. The bag had gotten dry too and so I ran them under some warm water and got another larger pan to spread them out more. Hope they hurry up and sprout before they spoil!

Wow I've never had a bag to dry out.
