I'm so stressed out rite now today should be the second half of day 21 as I set the eggs on the 25th at about 10 pm. I still have no pips and I am worried. Im sure something will happen but this is very stressful. the one in the incubator was rocking and jiggling on Thursday and Friday but not today I hope its okay. I really just want a baby chick already lol. I'm glad to hear that other are starting to get chicks. Fingers crossed I guess I hope this works out

tommorow is day 21 for me i put eggs under my broody on the 26th late afternoon. well my other hens have been laying in her nest booting her out everyday but she gets right back on when there done laying.will that make the hatch take longer. also yesterday one of the eggs she was sitting on got cushed on one end so i thought it wouldnt hatch and i opened it and there was a chick growing it was alive but i killed it by opening it, my fault dint think it was fertile. so knowing one was fertile hopefully the other 5 are .

Well I went in to town to run some errands and when I came home the one in my incubator has piped! Woo Hooo! Now I get to sit glued to the window in my incubator for who knows how long. I remember how long 21 days seemed when I set them and now the next few hours seems like it will be an eternity lol. Well the wait is almost over and I still cant wait

Amazing

Congratulations DraigAthar! I love how the chick kicks like crazy when the top of the shell is still on it's head..."Get this thing offa me!" lol

I have 15 eggs in "lock down" now (started with 24), although I have had to open the incubator a few times....

I know that this is a hand slap-able offense, but the humidity has been way too high so I was merely venting a bit.
Also, I have one pip!!!! The chick only peeps at me when I sprinkle water on the shell (not near the pip though).
I can't wait! Come on little chicks!

Thanks... That is what I figured. I will candle either tonight or tomorrow night, and see if there is anything going on in there, just to make sure!

Also, the broody in the coops egg's (now Winnie's because Daisy gave up) are due tomorrow. Although, I am not very confident that anything is going to happen. Daisy let them get cold multiple days by switching boxes, before Winnie took over. This is the good girl who went broody right when I needed her!!

She is about 7 months old in this pic, now about 1 year 8 months, and on her second hatch. On her first hatch she got 5 chicks, raised all successfully, 3 Roos, 2 Hens.

Forgot to mention that if Daisy clutch (now Winnie's) doesn't hatch, I will start her on new eggs as well....

She is beautiful! I hope they hatch for you, then Winnie will really be the hero of the day. How amazing that she stepped in to take over for her flock mate. I can't wait to hear what happens!!

The chick that I was worried wouldn't make it seems to be doing well. Finger's crossed!!!

the one in my incubator has hatched, i woke up to go pee at 3:30am and heard a lot of loud chirping, when I checked it out we had a little chicky. The boody in the coop still has no peeps yet and I am worried about her cause this is day 22 now

I hope they hatch for her but if they dont I guess I could slip this one and a few Blrw's Im getting from a friend tomorrow. I really want her to hatch some of her own though. how long should I leave the little guy in the incubator? I have a brooder set up and I was thinking about putting it in there today, is that okay?
