10 of 13 is still a good hatch, imho.

3C, how many do you have left in each of your LGs?

Since I'm going on lockdown tomorrow noon-ish, we candled tonight.
Decided to take J out, nothing but yolk.

That leaves G and H out of the first 4... both were moving tonight. Hope they make it.

We took all the clears out from the numbered set (and M from the second mutt set). Then re-candled the 11 that were left and saw movement in all but 3 (and my dd thinks she saw movement in one of those.)

Hmmm, does anyone count clears in their hatch rate?

I keep an eye on "clears" but don't start them against a hatch rate unless I'm looking at specific fertility issues in a group.

Otherwise clears just happen and they're not in my count.

I have 2 of 3 pipped, the third quit a few days ago, I just kept hoping. Nope, just the two but they're my first two sizzles from my own sizzles

really big grin.

Then I've more for the next five days or so, then seramas then sizzles again, then... the eggs that should get here this week...21 days after that, lol.

After that I really am going to try to stop, mostly. Chuckle.

I don't count clears. They aren't fertile so there is no way for them to hatch. I count my hatches by what goes into lockdown but keep track of all the clears and bloodrings.

Thanks everyone!

WwD, just checking my chicken algebra, does:
sizzle = silkie x frizzle

That sounds like fun. Can't wait until I have my own grandeggs in the 'bator.

(I'm mostly going to stop after next week, too!

Yup Sizzles are a new breed a bunch of folks are colaborating on... Silkie features, frizzled cochin base bird. So poof and frizzle feather, silkie dark skin, comb and five toed feathered feetses. And they're adorable.

I got some for broodies and then got the bantam bug big time as they grew up. Too silly for words, can't pass up the opportunity for a morning laugh out loud every day I watch them free range.

And where may we find these... sizzle eggs?

:plots:

I should actually say that I've really really wanted sizzle eggs, but can't seem to get my greedy little paws on them... but I don't consider myself a good enough breeder (of ANY sort) to start trying to breed my own sizzles.

(To the tone of being how to seek the Holy Grail.)

You will next, then, proceed to yahoo groups.

You will then find there a group mysteriously known as Sizzles. You will join this group.

You will make sad sounds and weeping about the Sizzlessness of your world. There will be much empathy. There will be enabling. There will come forth - those that supply the SIZZLES and you may then purchase with your coin the treasure of the Realm.

And you will begin to hatch Sizzles. Thereby falling under the spell of the Sizzles and allowing them to continue in their PLOT TO CONTROL THE WORLD. And every head shall
