I'm glad I'm not the only one that got clear eggs. I notice all the feedback is on eggs arriving and not hatch rates. At first I was like well ok it happens but when they tried to sale me chicks and the more I think about it the madder I am.

I am Leon Valley Trading Co./Hatchery--I would not normally reply but in this case I would simply like for everyone to see the entire text, with no editing, and not just a portion. The following text is taken directly from PayPal Dispute Resolution Center,
Please note that it is in a reverse time line.

7/5/2008 15:54 CDT - PayPal: Buyer escalated this dispute to a Claim.
7/5/2008 15:54 CDT - Buyer: Eggs did not develop at all. My own eggs have a 99% hatch rate so I know what I am doing. If they would have just sent replacement eggs free of charge I would have been okay with it. When I left feedback on ebay they never responded back to me.
7/4/2008 14:23 CDT - Seller: Our egg listings clearly state that we only guarantee we will ship fertile eggs and the number of eggs purchased to arrive unbroken. We do not guarantee a hatch rate. This is clearly stated within the first 10 lines of our listings. We can guarantee that the eggs were fertile when they left our possession because as a Hatchery we sell chicks and we did hatch chicks from the same batch of eggs that your eggs were shipped from. We obviously cannot be held responsible for anything other than what we guarantee or be held responsible for the manner in which the eggs may or may not have been handled during shipping and incubation. Normally, when our customers have a hatch failure, they contact us directly and we usually offer to re-ship , you have never contacted us. If you are only hatching one or two chicks from any eggs you incubate, you should look at the possiblity that there is some problem either in the Postal Service near you, or your incubation technique needs to be improved. It is normal for shipped eggs to hatch at 50 to 60% this is why we ship 9 eggs with each 6 egg auction. This should provide the customer with 5 to 6 chicks provided they are not damaged in shipping and the incubation is carried out correctly. Look at our percentage of repeat buyers year to year it is almost 40%. Surely these people do not continue to buy eggs that do not hatch. We have a standing order for 288 eggs to be shipped weekly from Texas to a customer in Tennessee, he reports a normal hatch of 75 to 80%. We are also sold out of chicks for 2008 (obviously hatched from fertile eggs) but we do have available juveniles and adults of most breeds.
7/3/2008 11:55 CDT - Buyer: Now all the hatcheries are sold out also:( So I can't find any Polish anywhere:(
7/1/2008 14:50 CDT - Buyer: Not a single egg hatched. This was rather expensive for a zero hatch rate. I've always had at least 1 chick from other people I got eggs from and I got nothing from these. i am very irritated as I really did not have that money to spend and then I got nothing for it!

Jul. 18, 2008 - PayPal: Case closed

I did not intend this to be an offer to sell anything to this customer, I was simply stating that the eggs were from a fertile batch and that I have juveniles from the same clutch of eggs. It also clearly states that I am sold out of Chicks, so there are no chicks for sale. This customer's original eBay Feedback left on May 30, 2008 stated, "1 broken but extras sent so it's no big deal. Hoping for a good hatch:)"

The Follow Up left on June 16, 2008 was,"Eggs got scrambled too much in the mail:( all candal clear now and no chicks

The problem with this is that it was 4 pages back in my eBay Feedback and I do not normally check Feedback as a source of communications. I normally expect customers to email me directly with problems or complaints. I have not yet received a direct email from this customer asking for any resolution to this matter. The only emails I have received concerning this matter have been complaints to third parties (PayPal) or today, the first to me from this customer, to threaten me with spreading ill will with third parties such as this Forum.

I was raised by a set of rules that taught me, if I have a problem with someone, then I should address that person and that problem, not a third party.

Thank you,
Amy
Leon Valley Trading Company on eBay

I ordered several times last year and never got more than 1 to hatch. The packing was great but the hatch rate was bad. I have ordered eggs and gotten great hatch rates so it's not that I can't hatch eggs. I will never order from them again.
