Anybody want to hatch with me? Day 19

I'm day 19 and have 2 pips and they have just begun their journey out of the shell. I have Sundownwater&Fowl Lite Brahma eggs.

All eggs were living, but I'm believing that 4 may have stopped growing. Who knows, I figured that I'd leave them- no stink yet.

We placed ours in the cartons so they couldn't roll. Its neat- also kept the cat awake all night looking for the Peep under the chest of draws it sets on...yes, the bator is in the bedroom!

I'm cheering for all of us- like I wrote someplace, I've been praying and have had my toes, fingers and everyone else's enough for the whole BYC site!! LOL.

Well I'm on day 20 with no pips. Had a few rocking around last night, but no pips yet. I always get so worried thinking they're not going to hatch, but then they usually do. Just trying to be patient.

Two still pipping and its cool, I saw the egg wiggling in the egg carton! I bet its a roo- lol!!! Everytime I get a first hatch they are roos. But I spose thats fine too, just want a good hatch, not only for me, but my mom as she built the "ark" ! (Got Turkey Eggs to fill the chicks place once they are done breaking free)

(Day 21 here)

I keep walking by the 'bator and "thinking" I see the eggs moving. Are the movements you are seeing very obvious?

I ask because when I actually stop and put my nose on the window to watch....I don't see any big egg movement (they are in a carton, mind you), I swear I saw one move and that is why I stopped.....

Come on out already!!!!

Sometimes they really get rolling, but other times it's much more subtle. I'm surprised you can tell at all in a carton, mine are just laying on the rack. I was just watching one rock, and tried to show DH. Well, of course, it stopped moving. As soon as he walked away I looked in again and it started moving LOL.

Also, the majority of my eggs I never see move. Maybe I just miss them? I dont know, but some hatches I dont see any move at all. The only ones I've seen moving in this hatch are MissPrissy's orps.

I should think it would depend on the breed how lively the eggs are. Assuming. Wrote to the lady that supplied my eggs and she told of them pipping at day 19 and all hatched by end of day 20.

2 years ago, the Ameracuana's hatched on day 19, no warning, nothing.

I'm concerned about what everyone is saying with the humidity. I have mine as hi as it will go, dishes, I've put water in the pan that holds the rocks and it stays at 40%. Guess I'll just have to allow nature to have her way with all.

Oh, my mother and I were looking in the window of the incubator trying to peek and then the light went out! Step away, the light comes on- arrrrgh. oh well, it didn't stop us from spying on the happenings!!!

This is my first hatch and even though I've attempted to read as much as I could here...there are still some things I don't understand.

What is the process of hatching? could someone provide a link that will explain all these terms that people keep using so that I can understand them? ...pip, zip, etc.
