Anybody worried about the Situation with North Korea?

While being concerned about the situation in Korea I'll say that we have a very serious problem with our southern border that is the most immediate threat to this country. But, the media focuses on the other side of the world rather than the problems that we have here at home...Wag the Dog?

I stand corrected. Most of those incidents probably never made mainstream news, or if they did, they appeared as a small blip in the news.

There were quite a few of them.

Being a military family with a son on active duty, I pay attention and I worry...I can't stick my head in the sand and pretend there are not 30, 000 young American service men and women in Korea who would be in serious jeopardy if that entire thing unraveled...I wish I could be oblivious...

The Hurt Locker...very spot on and my son spent time with the real guy

We had our first living Medal of Honor recipient last week

I spent time with a Marine who bought a puppy from me...he was General Patreus' body guard for a time in the war zone

The soldier is what stands between us and the end of life as we know it...not the movie stars, the press, the athletes, congress, none of them...

There are 19 year old kids lining up to kick down doors in Afghanistan knowing full well the first man through usually gets shot if it is a hot site...but they do it and they are volunteers...

They put the majority of us to shame with our whining and complaining about things...they are the cream of the crop...so yeah, I pay attention and worry...

oh no, I'm not into blame america at all

I just see us with military bases in 130 of about 190 countries

I am more of a type who wants to lessen our presence in areas where folks aren't needed and beef up our borders.
