Anyone born on Christmas

I met someone who's kid was born on xmas. Instead of birthdays, they celebrate her "half-birthday" (10.5, 11.5, etc) in June. It seemed like a good idea.

Not sure if it would be "cool" in your area, but one of the teens here who has a December birthday had a pretty neat party last yr

The rented a stretched hummer limo & went to the big Christmas light display-- the type of display people drive hours to come see. They all loved it! Think they got burgers & icecream after.

My neighbor is born on Christmas. He says as a kid growing up he hated it because then he only had presents once a year unlike most who have them twice and though his siblings where always getting more than him lol. Now he doesnt care. He looks at it as getting 2 things done at once now.

My MIL was born on Christmas Eve - we always treated her birthday as a special and distinct event. Birthday cake and all. She died this last January - We'll still be remembering her this year on her birthday. I wasnt' the "favorite" DIL but Loved her still...

My birthday is real close to Christmas and I hate it. I always have.

It really doesn't matter what you do. Some goofball well meaning idiot will pull the line "Well rather than get you 2 gifts we decided to get you one big gift". There is really no way to make a birthday close to Christmas special.
