Last year I had lots of apples and not allot of time so I decided to make cooked apple pie filling and freeze it.
I made straight apple filling, apple/cranberry and apple/blackberry.
Worked out great. When I want to make a pie/ tarts/muffins/crisp etc. I just bring out a container of the frozen pie filling.
