I have some more of my random mix eggs in the bator

I'm testing to see if my leghorn eggs need mixed blood to have better hatchability. I have all browns t compare to a all white i had in sept.
I'm on day 4/5 now
If anyoneelse does we can have a hatching thread

Hopefully this will be the last hatch for my LG. I' m supposedly getting a sportsman for my b-day!

I'm due the 11th too. I have australorps, buff orps, and cuckoo marans (from poultrylady). Plus I put in a few fertile eggs from the grocery store for fun

It's my first hatch but I'm not nervous at all. I had the bator running for many days before hand to make sure it was stable. It's a LG but I added a computer fan. I'm doing dry incubation. The temps are 99.0 early morning, 99.5 middle of day and 100.0 warmest part of the day. So the average is about 99.5. Humdity 30-40% .

I plan on candling on thursday (day 7), so I will update.

I have enjoyed my LG. I think its a fine incubator.

this is my 5th hatch.
I really shouldnt be hatching cause lately its been 20-30's where i live. They will stay in the house longer I spose.
Congrats on your 1st incubation. You will be addicted! lol.

In my short span of incubating i've chose not to candle till day 10-12.
BUT
this is your first hatch so I did the same thing.. lol

Not on the 11th, but if I counted right I'm due on the 13th. This is my first hatch also.
I built my own bator and bought some fertile egg from someone local. They had RIR and mixes running all around. So I will end up with mutts if everything works right.
I'm curious to see if hatch will work. I have a pretty constant humidity of 43-47% and my egg temp is pretty close to being right on. I worked on the bator for a week to adjust the temps to where my wiggler would be real close to 99.5. It varies just slightly.

I've also got eggs due the 11th if the grandbaby doesn't count.

Mine go to the hatcher on the 10th, so theoretically if some decide to appear early I could have some on the 11th

I have some jersey giants that are due on the 12th. This is my very first incubation, so I am very excited.
