YAAAH!!!3rd just hatched I have a blue a black and a splash and 3 pips so cool!!!

guess I counted a day early.

Woo-Hoo-today is day 21-nothing up to this morning. When I got home from work at 4:30 3 eggs had pipped. By the time I fed my other little chicks, one was chirping and running around and 3 more had pipped. Funny thing is, the chick that hatched is the egg I had a big ? mark. Welsummer. I only had one Copper Maran egg viable. I hope, I hope, but it hasnt pipped yet. I am not helping, because it appears the ones pipped have broken through all membranes to get air. Just resting.

We have 4 now and 3 pips 1 has been struggling all day dont think it will make it out of the shell.others doing great i will try to post some pics gotta get my daughter.

now we have 6 even though everyone is gone!

and 2 pips the 1 i didnt think would make it hatched just really big.

have 4,3 Welsummer and 1 Copper Maran. One that has been trying to pip for over 12 hours isnt looking good. I tried to help, and shouldnt have. A Copper Maran, and another Copper Maran cant seem to get through the membrane. I wonder if this is because I kept these eggs for 10 days to hatch with another batch. Made the membranes tough. I am moistening the membrane with warm water on a q tip Still have 5 more eggs pipping, and 2 rock n rollin.

that is awesome i heard marans are harder shells is this true?we have 8 now and 1 more pip if it makes it i think that will be the last out of these eggs its not 100% but over 50 ill take it we had 1 that had a really tough time i zipped a little over half and said if it doesnt make it wasnt meant to and he made it he was just a little big. ill put the rest of the pics up later/sending you good hatching vibes
