now 8! The one I helped, and I mean I almost did it all, including breaking the outer membrane and dumping him out of the shell, is doing great. Well, so far. So now I am at 50% hatch. My first hatched, who is a Maran looks like a frizzle???? No fur, and he is very rough and bumpy to the touch. Like a toad... Maybe he hatched a little early? I will post a picture..but I have to go to work now, even though I was up until 3 with the slow pipper I helped.

The camera was just a sony cybershot Iggimom/raspberry that is so awesome cant wait for pics when my daughter gets up I will send some more pics we have 8 and another pipper rockin still the struggler is a fatty but really cute black on top and yellow on bottom I hope the last pipper makes it!

I ended up only having 8 hatch of 16. Three silkies (2 buff, 1 blue) and 5 EE's.

Holy cr_p I went to check my non hatchers from the 15th they are still in with my pheasant due today and my mutt egg is pippin so cool its a golden laced cochin/and black plymouth rock or RIR hope it hatches want to see what it looks like!!!!

That is awesome! My hubby is taking our poor little chick that couldn't stand or walk to the vet to be euthanised this morning.

I can't cull it.

This is my first hatch, first time owning chickens so maybe as I get more chickens I will be able to do it. Not likely. I can't kill a thing...I know I need to learn to do it since it will stop the suffering and it's what chicken owners should do.

Post a pic of it wants it fluffs out. I am going to post pics of my chicks this weekend. I can't seem to get them to stand still long enough to get a good pic of them.

We have an escape artist in the bunch. It's so funny to watch it and all of them running around.
