Anyone else ACTUALLY chill with their peeps?

On the afternoon of the 31st my Super Fluffy Chicken started sitting on some eggs. Every morning since, my routine has been the same: up early, nuke one of their eggs, chop the yellow and mix with yogurt, grab a bag of chikn vittles and its off to the coop! My SFC has taken to being spoon fed and drinking from a littlw bowl I set next to her for a minute several times a day. The other birds get jealous! If I don't bring them treats when I come to feed SFC it can get nasty! Just a minute ago I had to put my phone down and make with the food or continue being pecked by the flock:) love my birds.

This our "Chillin' With the Peeps" station.

I need to take photos of the: chair in the run, the bench facing the goldfish ponds where we often sit together now that they all range freely, the spot on the retaining wall around one of the ponds where we often gather, and the chair in the front yard where I also chill with my peeps almost every evening after work.

My physician has adjusted my BP medication DOWNWARD because it's not anywhere near as high as it was before I got chickens. No brag, truth.

I often pour a glass of old grape juice ( hehe) and go sit out in the run, in the yard, in the coop, or down in the brooder. Nothing better than being buried in babies!!

I have a chicken bench I keep covered so I can sit, because they enjoy it, too...I can't pause without having birds all over me, though.

heck yeah every morning and every night. my peeps are my retreat! I could spend hours with them! However I do not dare sit down and hang with them because I have a turkey hen and no tom and this Hen thinks I should be her Tom! She stalks me and then sits on my feet.

Love the photos every one shared.

Do I!?!?!? I spend hours down at the coop. I usually sit in the coop with the girls and cheer the layers on, pet them, etc. I also have a chair set up in the run and allow the girls to jump up on me to roost as long as they let me pet them! And, of course, there's always a couple snack/treat times throughout the day.

This is me sitting in my chair with "Cake" (named by my 4 year old).

ABSOLUTELY! And I love it. It is soooo relaxing for me. Seems like the only time I actually stop and enjoy some 'me' time. It's always go, go, go so this is a welcomed activity for me. DH brought me home a wooden bench that we have at the end of the run. We also have two small folding camping chairs that we keep in the coop itself. Then we have our table/chairs for outdoor dining. All great places to chill with the chickens and ducks. Every evening after they've put themselves in for the night, I pat them all and hold them and soak it all in. It's nice and pleasant. I hate it when it gets late and I have to go inside. If I could sleep out there I would!

It really is a good stress reliever, relaxer, and free (sorta) entertainment.

I'll have to have DH take a pic for me so I can post it. We have two chairs set up right outside of our run so that we can sit and watch them, sometimes watching from a bit of a distance is fun to see how the interact with each other ect. Often times when DH is at work, and sometimes in the evening I just go out and sit on the ground in the run. My girls will get in my lap and want nothing more than for me to pet them. I have to tell you I find it so relaxing, they "talk" to me constantly when I'm out there. With all that has gone on in the past year, the past few months of be able to chill with the girls has been the best theraphy in the world.

Absolutely love spending time in the yard with the chickens, especially now that it has cooled off some. I have been watching them to figure out who is laying...one hen went in and was checking out a nest when Rudy Roo followed her in...I was outside the door painting eggs on the door. I could hear Rudy softly clucking and cooing to the hen...it almost sounded like he was worried about her and making sure she was ok! It was sooo cute! He is turning out to be a good roo. He has started clucking to call the girls over when he finds something good to eat. The hens are also getting used to the "reproductive act" and don't scream and hollar like they used to do when he caught them. I am loving my flock!
