I think my point was that humans can contract some bad things by picking up road kill. Us being mammals and all. If you see it clobbered, yeah, go ahead, but wonder somewhere in your mind, why was it hanging around the road to begin with? Was it cold? was it too weak to catch prey and was scavenging? could it have been sick? Remember mad cow disease? unhealthy cattle were slaughtered and used to feed cattle with.
