Let Your Freak Flag Fly
They spend the 8 weeks on fresh grass every day. They don't have their beaks clipped. They are fed in a responsible way and given vitamins so that they don't get heart attcks or broken legs. I beleive if you give an animal a life full of good moments, with one bad at one at the end, that is a lot different than the miserable lives they live in feed lots and on factory farms. How is a life of 4-8 weeks "wonderful"? How are You less dependant from the big corporations when You have made a habit of purchasing their product? All I see are fancy words and little substace
I have not made a habit of purchasing CX yet. This is my first run. Next time I plan to try and breed one's bloodline into my flock. Then all the meat birds I hatch will come from my own flock. AKA no dependence on the big corp anymore. Self sufficiency is a journey.
All I see is from you is an emotional response to a fact of life:lots of people eat meat. VERY OFTEN that meat is raised in an abhorrent way. This is not one of those times, and that makes me feel good.
