Just loaded one bator with RIR, blue andulasians, welsummer, and welsummer X barred rock. Will load another bator this weekend with black copper marans, buff orpingtons and some left over from first bator. Hope the hatching vibes are with me. I love hatching chickens!!!!

I've got a dozen Barred Rocks going in Saturday night. The last batch I got off ebay were all bad, most were even rotten the first few days in the incubator. So hoping Aug 21 will be a successfull hatch!

I have a crap load of eggs shipping on Monday. So I will set Wednesday hopefully. I have khaki cambells, cayuga, magpie, BEI, muscovy and cochins coming.

My 3 friends here are doing the great hatch dance.

Well, I just got back from PO to pick up another shipment of eggs and they are ready to go into bator, beautiful BC marans. I also realized I am not going to have room for everything when I get my shipment Monday of the BO's and Lav's. I had borrowed my son's bator for my second one and it's turner only holds 28 instead of 42 like mine. OK, will see if I can borrow the turner from my 11 year old neighbor. He is not using his at the moment. Have to have a turner because I will be gone 6 days while my husband has surgery. The joy of hatching in 21 days.

I have eggs "settling" at home that I plan on putting in late tonight or tomorrow. They are white leghorns and chocolate muscovies.
