The author should be more worried about people trying to break into his house with illegal guns than his neighbor who keeps guns in the house. Besides, who would relate chicken owning to gun owning and say that they are bad lifestyles? Sounds like a high and mighty jerk if you ask me.

They don't mention how old Ms. Hanavan is, but *I* have older neighbours and THEY didn't have any problem with my chickens...It was the people MY AGE that had the problem...probably though they brought down property values or some crud...

I've never had rats get into the food, except for TREE RATS.

We've had MICE, but my house is over 60 years old.

for three years my neighbor had chickens and i would complain everyday about the noise they made( to myself of course). now, just this year i've built myself a coup and have ordered myself 18 chicks. after looking at the price of eggs at the store i thought whynot join the chicken club.

Chicken's, Pigs, Cows, etc are not allowed in our town - but I live in an area where they were grandfathered in so we can have them.
