I want them SO bad!!!!!!!
I just don't have anywhere to put them and DH will behead me if I order them. I did save the giant box from my chest freezer I bought (thinking brooder)....
Oh, I do that too! I look at all big boxes and containers as potential brooders.
Okay, new pics of my peeps.
Hickory is definitely all boy. He's so full of himself. These aren't the best pics. I couldn't catch him showing off, but you can see his comb and a bit of his tail although he isn't carrying it upright in these photos.
Are you talkin' to me?
He's giving me the stink eye here because I'm interrupting his slumber.
I still think Thistle is also going to be a roo. In a weird way, I almost hope so because he's so handsome.
Here he is with Holly (the dark hen)
My white hen, Lily is still a complete lap chicken. In fact, a lot of mine have gotten quite cuddly. I didn't intend to take so many pictures of my own blue jeans today, but everyone insisted on sitting in my lap. Ao I just gave up and put the camera on close up.
Here is Miss Lily.
She is such a cuddler. Here are some other notable characters. I've mentioned the pullet who has trained me well. This is Cinnamon (the head sitter)
Blackberry, aka Miss Feisty the Hand Killer
She had to peck the camera of course. Silly girl!
And of course here is one of my most determined girls, Blueberry. If I sit down, she expects to be in my lap and won't take no for an answer. If another bird is there, she flies up and pecks them until they leave. My right knee belongs to her. Check out her crazy beard and muff. It just about obscures her vision.
She will allow Pepper to sit next to her, but not Lily. Lily must sit on the other side of the lap, but not intefere with Blueberry's petting time.
Doesn't she look like a round ball?
Speaking of crazy faces, here is my little crossbeaked chick. She took a little supportive care as a chick, but her beak actually works very well. She can crack sunflower seeds and peck with the best of them. This is Clover. As you can see from her expression, she is curious and lively. I have no worries about her ability to survive.
I'm going to stop now that I've gone crazy with the camera. Okay, time for new photos from everyone else so I don't feel like the only spaz!
