Anyone else give their excess eggs away rather than cut down on hens?

I give them to friends who are on a tight budget-a dz eggs can mean
sandwiches for a week, or breakfast for a family of 6-I am planning on
getting a bigger coop to add more hens in varieties I do not have-so hence
more eggs.........

I am just having so much fun with the hens! It's a contest to see
how many eggs I can get-the sun came out today and there was
a waiting line to get into the nesting coop to lay ROFL! it was a riot!
Wish I had a camera-it was like an airport with planes waiting in line to
take off heehee!
And someone new is laying-got this small perfectly formed light brown
egg-have been only getting 5 over the past few gloomy
days, but with the sun it was 8 by noon today-chance of more....

Hope to be able to donate to the local food pantry someday.

It's simple, I don't care for eggs, but I like watching the chickens scratch and peck around the yard. The same goes for the many duck eggs...I don't eat them either. I will be hatching some, but the rest will probably be given back to the ducks as well.

Plenty of people own parrots, cockatiels, finches, etc. and never would dream of eating their eggs.

I have to admit, I'm one of those people who got chickens for yard ornaments since I don't care for eggs much. Hubby and son love them so that helped persuade him. I love seeing them acting like chickens.
