I should have checked this thread, but have been so consumed--as a new chicken lover--with reading all the back threads. I have barnevelders in the hovabator, and their due date is the 1st. I can't wait! This is torture! I took out of the egg turner yesterday and candled one last time (it's very addictive). One egg has a little plumey feather sticking out of it! It's the weirdest thing.

I have about 12 eggs in the bator to hatch on May 1. They are from my chickens. Can't wait to see what comes out.

I saw movement in a few eggs no pips yet

This is so hard waiting I had one out on april 26 then one out yesterday and one that ziped and died it had broken yolk. i have 3 more that r now past due ?? When should i give up on those 3? I have more chickens and my first ducks due may 1 and May 2 going to be a long week .
