anyone else hatching today?

well looks like we had same hatch. i got 1 wheaten maran and 2 black coper marans out of seven eggs. i also candled some of my other eggs from ebay and out of 8 eggs only one is still in the bator. i cracked all 7 of the eggs i removed and nothing. they never started. i did fill the bator up with easter eggers and barred rocks. i have a few eggs due to hatch on the 5th and 10 due on the 11th and the rest due on the 22nd.

Hatcheries were late this year for some reason. I haven't investigated the reason yet.
However!

One of my faithful Black Jersey Giant ladies did us proud. She managed to set on a dozen eggs to completion. I saw three little heads poked out from under her today.
May 1st chicks. I'm hoping that all dozen hatch out.
We have so many predators that I've got to get busy sectioning off a part of the coop for mama and chicks. They are free range and I've lost several to hawks,

coons, possums, cats, etc., these last two years even though the land is heavily fenced. I'm worried about them, but I can't watch them 24/7. I've thought of a dog, but that's future.

Mee mee.. I have one little silky out and about he is a spitfire . There are 2 that have pipped and one that is peeping. Hoping for more tomorrow.
Started with 12 that look good, out of them 7 are bantams. I am not sure what I might get as it was a collection of eggs
Maybe more tomorrow.

Just had to post one more success story.
Another Black JG got broody right after the last successful hatch-off.
It looks like I'm about to be overrun by these wonderful laying hens.
She's managed to stuff 16 fertile eggs under her wings!
I'm saying this in expectation that most will be hens...
