Anyone else have Yaks?

Hi Eden Springs. I found this thread while looking for something else and thought I'd reply to your post. Lamb replacer is one of the preferred replacers for yak calves, though some people mix it with calf manna. There is also a yak replacer availabe from zoogro.com called YakGro. Technical specifications are on the website. Good luck with your bottle baby--sure is a royal cutie.

We want to start raising Yaks, but are having a hard time finding out how much acreage we would need for them. We are in the process of trying to find land now, but don't know how much acreage we will need. Nobody seems to answer my question on other websites. Not on here though, as this is the first time I have asked on this site. We live in the northeastern part of PA. We would like to get a bull and one or two cows with maybe a calf. So say for two to four yaks. Hope someone here can answer my question so we can get more serious on purchasing land.
