Anyone else having babies shipped from Meyer Hatchery today?

Pics
Moved the girls to their new coop and rigged up the heat lamp in there. Much more space for them. They really seem to like it. I lost one of the cochin pullets I got with this order. She seemed off from the get go so I've been watching her and she just was dead this morning. The other nine are doing great.

Two weeks and counting for mine to come in, I'm starting to get that nervous feeling I get every time I have chicks shipped. I know Meyer is a great hatchery and I've never had a loss from them, but knock on wood.

I'm very excited to see what my mystery chick is potentially though. I kind of have my fingers crossed for a Barred Rock.

I lose one on occasion this one came and just didn't seem right but it's been a full week before she passed. She would randomly lay on her side for no reason not always under the light but sometimes under it. She's been acting strange from day one though. I added extra chicks to act as packing peanuts for my orps I don't like small orders especially with it still cold out so would rather add a few of the cheaper ones if it helps my more expensive chicks to make it in shipping.

I'm actually more nervous about larger orders than small ones, as it is plenty warm enough here for chicks to ship without heating (Alabama is well into its summer weather now) but I feel like most of the people on these boards who lose one or two chicks have larger orders, and I think it's due to crushing/trampling.

This time I'll be ordering four (ordered five in my first batch and four in my second) so I'm confident they'll be just as fine as the previous orders. I'm just getting delivery jitters.

Also I'm nervous to integrate, since my older chicks will be 1.5-2 months old when they are introduced to the new chicks and I've never had to blend two disparate age groups before. I'll be doing gradual see-no-touch method though with a dog pen so hopefully all will go well.
