Anyone else perpetually tired?

Have found this thread really interesting.......I know that if I don't take my vits/mineral plus Vit B Complex in addtion (I take two Vit B each day with the others)...I can be exhausted within a couple of days...go back on them and stay on them I am OK...have also started taking Co-Enzyme Q10 tabs....its working for me.....

Can I suggest the following before you pay out for more Dr's bills:-

Take One Multi Vitamin and Mineral Tab (must contain the minerals..your copper level might be low) daily

Take Two Vit B complex daily

Cut out ALL red meat for one month.......

ONCE a week only :- take two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water....6 times for that one day (this is a kidney & bladder flush......very beneficial)

Every morning before you have coffee/tea etc.......drink one large glass of warm boiled water with a slice of lemon in...this flushes the liver....

Just try it out and let me know......

None of the above will interfere with your prescribed meds...

Good luck and hope you feel better soon......

Yes, you can count me in too. I have a thyroid problem and also contstantly have low iron levels and I have had 2 doctors tell me I have CFS too. I constantly walk around in "my own little world". People will strike up a conversation with me and I look at them blankly because my brain cannot form any words. I've actually lost a couple of friends because they told me they find it difficult to talk to me and I'm not the same person they once knew. I wish you all the best.

I know exactly how you feel, 3 yrs ago I felt exactly the same. And then I had a full hysterectomy. At your age I started with pre-menapause. And that's when I started feeling the way you do now.I waited several years to do something about it now I wish I had talked to my dr more and found a solution earlier.
It's a vicious circle, if you can't sleep you feel sick, if you feel sick you can't sleep.
One thing that helped me is once a week I would take benedryl to get to sleep the dr recomended it because its not addictive and it will gently put you to sleep.

I started feeling like this a few years ago. had all kinds of test done then in 2003 a different dr. asked me how long had I been a diabetic? I told him I that I wasn't one so he ordered more test guess what Oh yes I am a diabetic. diagnosed in 2003 that was the reason for me being tired all the time. I can still go to sleep at the drop of a pin. I was 35 back then. Maybe you should be tested not a quick check but the one that take 3 hours.

Also, have your doctor take a C-reactive Protein level. If your chronic fatigue is a type of arthritis or any type of inflammation, this test is important.
I too have Fybro on top of that I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and Psoriatic Arthritis. Serotonin/Dopamine are usually low in chronic conditions and drugs such as Cymbalta, Doxepin and the many other types of meds can help reduce aches and pains helping your body to relax and get into the "healing" sleep like others have mentioned.
One thing...how can you be 100% sure that you do not have a sleep disorder? A doctor can't even be sure of that until they receive the test back.
Sometimes your blood pressure can sink so low that you have to wake a bit- not wake up but shift a little to correct it. We never know what our bods are doing at night while we are asleep. Apnea happens to skinny folks too, also there are so many types of sleep disturbances that being tired could be a symptom of, I'd get it tested.
Do you live on a busy street? When I hear a lot of traffic, I feel so drained, outside noises can affect us too.
Good luck, don't rule anything out, and if you find something like a short walk to energize you, do it!

Adrenal fatigue is a major cause of perpetual tiredness. I felt a lot better when I was taking supplements to help rebuild my adrenal glands. Although it's expensive, saliva tests are the best to figure out what's going on with your hormones, including the adrenals. Cortisol levels will also interfere with normal sleep patterns, making you want to sleep in the day and stay awake all night.

Dehydration, depression, stress, and allergies (resulting in poor sleep quality due) are other common causes of fatigue. Yep, when it comes fatigue and trying to keep my eyes open during the day, I've been there and done that.

Oh yeah, kids that get up before dawn don't help either...............

Thanks hun. It hurt though. I had been friends with her since we were at school together. The kind of friend where you don't speak for a couple of months but then pick up the phone and it's like you were talking yesterday? I guess we just grew apart anyway.

It is not always a sign of illness. Sometimes our being always being tired is because we put too much on our plates. Always playing catch-up. Our houses, jobs, children, hobbies etc stretch of farther than ever.

I have found making yourself a schedule of sorts really helps.

Don't compromise your sleep for something you haveoverloaded your rear end on. Go to bed at the same time and create a routine. To bed at Xpm and up at Xam. Never fail. Allow yourself the proper hours to sleep.

Don't knick-knack and scrimp on meals. You really do need all those wide and varied vegetables in your diet. You do need protein. Your meals need to be a joy and a pleasure. Eat three small meals and indulge in a small snack during the day. You deserve it.

Say no. When people expect too much from you say no. N-O.

Don't feel your child/children have to be in every activity and go do everything. We have severrely limited our kids to 1 after school group. I found tying myself down trying to let kids do too many things also left them feeling tired and restless all the time too.

Give yourself a break. Literally.

I hear you. That awful feeling where your brain dances around what it is you want to say, like that word you are positive you know (such as your husband's name in my case, we're ex now though) is just locked away in a little box that you can't open. Very frustrating.
