Anyone else Raising Chicks right now?

We had ours in the house for a decent while, and the weather was all good. . . We've never before, well, we once had freezing temps in November. . . And even when it snowed, I never saw the outage happening. . . We have only TWO inches of snow, and almost no winds. . . sigh.

Here's the sad part - When we DO have hurricane force winds and torrential rains. . . Power outages usually last one to two hours.

We have Showgirl chicks due to hatch on the 29th of this month, so count me in

Last Winter here in Wa was SOOO much better than this craziness!! I was filling a water dish in the ducks pen today and within 20mins the wire 3ft around the hose was covered in ice!

I do have a good, small coop that would work well for moving them into but I dont know if I am gonna wanna do that if this weather keeps up.

Are those meaties? We had a Cornish a while ago and it dealt with the cold weather WAY better than the others. that thing ran hot all the time!

I have 6 cornish and I guess they put out a lot of heat because all my chicks have been off any heat since 3 weeks, they all just cuddle up together and under the cornish and they stay warm enough!

Oh okay, couldn't see their speckles in the pics
