Anyone else setting eggs this weekend? 8-3-12?

21 days 2 hrs. and nothing. Should I be worried? I don't have the patience for this waiting thing. Hope I didn't just waste a big omelette.

Oh Pete...those babies are super cute! Congratulations.

@bellyacres...I would probably give up. But I have seen people on here have some hatch at day 22 or 23. Not always sure the reasons why...lower temps maybe?

I pitched the other 10 eggs that were in my incubator last night. I candled them all to make sure...but they were all quitters. This is the first time that I was not able to bring myself to crack them open and determine what stage they quit. I know there were a couple that were trying to internally pip on lockdown day, so I know they would have been quite developed. I just didn't want to see what could have been.

Well I've lost all that I hatched, except one. This is so frustrating

Everything in their environment was fine, so not sure what the problem was. I've got 12 more Silkie eggs in the incubator & then that's it...this is getting too expensive for such a big loss.

Hi -mine didn't start til day21 + 5hrs,its now day 22 +5 hrs & I still have 2 internal pipping ,2 external pipping ,1zipping-12 out in brooder,with 1 maybe so don't quit yet, waiting is all u can do -if all but the "maybe" hatchout ok i will have 95% .hope all goes well

Second batch is pipping! Yay! I see movement in 5 of the 11 eggs, but I think 1 is a quitter.

A friend of mine is taking my first 4 I hatched and will raise and keep the hens. I'm excited I'm able to give her the babies. I don't have room for the mixed breeds that are non showable. I'm thrilled to see what they will actually look like feathered. She's coming by in 2 days to pick them up.

I'm startling over if this 2nd batch doesn't work. I'm sticking with pure Amercuana's for sure and will try the wheaten color. I'm not giving up!

My staggered hatch worked using the same incubator. I have 4 pipped eggs now!
