Anyone else setting eggs today - 1/31?

We have a baby!! It's so cute!! We've been wondering what they'll look like, and this one is very light. WOOHOO!!!!

TWO babies!!!

Whew! I'm so relieved that I'll have chicks to take to our class on Wednesday. :)

Wow congrats on the chicks and pips! Mine are still rolling around, not yet pipped. I'm struggling to keep humidity right, it just doesnt feel right in the incubator. I added more water, but still seems dry. I know temp is correct, but humidity.... ugh. The humidity reader (hygrometer...sp?) gave out a few days ago and I haven't been able to get another. There's plenty of movement going on, so I guess I shouldn't be too worried. (and I'm still about a day early, yet.)

Yahooo! At least they have a friend. I hate it when only one hatches, they are so lonely. How many more are you waiting on?

I have three eggs left in the incubator, two are pipped. I thought I saw movement in the third earlier, so we'll see. I have three more chicks drying in the incubator and three more eggs. Two are pipped, and I am worried about the last one. I candled it and I thought I saw movement, but I didn't hear any peeping. Here is a pic of the first 15 in the brooder. I am so tickled with the Ameraucanas, those cheeks are awsome!! I am sure the one I thought looked lav is a blue. All these blues are so light! The chipmunk chicks are bantam partridge cochins.

Oh, congratulations!! Those babies are just adorable!! I love how they're all in little matching groups. Well done!

My two babies are tearing it up in the incubator. There are still at least 5 that are pipped that I'm waiting on, but they're all mixed up now.

We now have 5 babies and 4 pipped. The newest one must have pipped on the underside cause DH nor I saw that one pip and now we have the extra chick, that was quick. First and last are EE almost silvery creamy/white with the stripes, 2 JBG x Welsumer and either a pure JBG or a JBG x Buff orp

I need another bator, now!

I'm getting ready to move the fuzzies to the brooder, I'm afraid to leave them tripping around in there in case they turn someone else over . That is right? I have seen where people said that the other chicks bumped the eggs and caused them to die in the shell, is it caused by them not being in the right position after they are bumped?

5 down-- only 26 to go!

Your students are gonna be so amazed. I love that you were able to get the eggs back and forth safely. So good that they will now know that eggs aren't just for breakfast.
My grandson (my avatar) is coming over in the morning, I can't wait to show him. My kids saw chicks our broodies hatched and I loved to watch their face when they first heard the chicks before they hatched.

TWO babies!!!

Now there are at least 6 and another just broke out of his egg. :) They are so loud! (We slept on our couches last night, by the way. There will definitely be a different plan next time!)

I was thrilled to see that one of the "travel babies" hatched. He made it!! I took a total of 4 eggs to the classes and had the 3 that were actually still growing marked. The kids are going to thrilled! I've seen a couple of the kids out and about this past week, and the first thing they do is ask me about the chicks! Zootopia - your grandson is going to be so excited!

I'm also wondering about taking my babies out and putting them in the brooder. Now there are two more wet babies, so I guess I'll wait some more.

It is fun! It makes me really look forward to April when I set the eggs that I'm keeping!
