Spooks me, too. Why anyone would have that much information on themselves for everyone to see is odd.

I dont do Myspace. It's full of VIRUS! I have it blocked on my computer so no one can get in. I do have Facebook. About the privacy thing, you control who views your profile and how much. My mom has facebook, my GRANDMA has facebook and so does many of my aunts even my stepdad. It's not that complicated, just that Im dont like ppl keep sending application requests but some of their applications are cool (games) while others are pain in the rear end. I use facebook mainly to keep ahold of old friends and family. My mom and I only contact each other on Facebook with the IM or emails. It's also a way to show family members pictures of the kids.

Who knows if the information that is posted is true? and as the OP said why would you want to post so much information about yourself?
I hope to be the last person on Earth that doesn't have a account to either.

Don't like MySpace .. I do Facebook.. I have family scattered all over the country .. it's a great way to know what's going on with everyone.

I don't accept "FRIENDS" with anyone I don't know on facebook. Only family and people I know is on my list. Everyone else CANNOT see anything on my profile but my picture and my name.
Like I said before, you can control what other's see.

I was looking at it this AM....It kept prompting me to "SIGN UP". I couldn't bring myself to do it. Just too weird. Don't want just anyone to know that much about me. Like living in a glass house or something.

Have you noticed that you cannot actually see any of the "real" information about a person unless

a) you're that person's friend, or

b) that person was stupid enough to make his/her profile public

So if only your friends can see your profile, what on earth are you so paranoid about?

I have one person that asked to be my friend and I accepted. He is from England.

I imagine he is going to either hide me or unfriend me because I "comment" from time to time on his posts.

He aksed me a couple of weeks ago why I wear my religion on my sleeve.

I laughed a lot about that one.
