Anyone else starting eggs tonight? Hatch date 8-24

I plan throwing in 160 Marans eggs over the next 5 days, starting with 35 eggs tomorrow, after the new Brinsea 190 gets here and is all set up,,may be a day behind you all,but is this close enough to be in the same hatch generation? Then again,if the new bator has some quirks or kinks,I may be a few more days behind.

Well does anyone have any updates? I candled last night and ended up tossing five eggs. Not too bad considering that I set 84. My guinea has decided to set also. She had a dozen and has tossed one so far. So out of 96 eggs, I still have 90 set. I got to see the little babies moving around in their shells.

It was so exciting. I soon became a whole family affair with everyone trying to get a better look.

I am so excited that some are actually growing. I hope they go all the way and I have lots of little babies running around.

I hope everyone else are having good luck with their eggies.

I candled last night and have to pull 4 quitters of the 15 I set. The others all look good, though, lots of veining and wiggling embryos.

My DH thinks I've totally lost my mind to be setting more eggs since as we speak I have 33 adults in the coop/pen, 5 7-weekers in the grow out pen, 13 2-week pheasants in the big brooder and 3 2-week chicks in the little brooder. I'm not exactly sure where I'm going put these guys if/when they hatch.

Tonight I moved my 7 eggs with a moving air sack out of the bottom tray, and into the turning trays, and added 22 more French Black coppers.Tomorrow I have another 24 Gold Salmons,18 Wheatons, and 63 marans eggs from another flock arriving,,I am scared to candle yet for a few more days,,the expense of these eggs and the darkness of the shells,,I do not want to pitch any that have something going on,,but my bator is fast running out of room,,,I restacked and arranged and have 94 Marans eggs in the top 2 turning trays,,now,,but with whats coming tomorrow,,I can't get them all in the 2 trays that I have left.the big shipment of 63 eggs was not planned on,,got an e-mail last night saying they were on their way,,,much to late to have them hold them or wait another 2 weeks,,

I put 30 out of 42 eggs in lockdown. Most of the ones I lost were infertile. I had a few early quitters though. I think there were 4 quitters and the rest were infertile. That leaves me with 30 out of 34 making it until lockdown. I'm so nervouse because this is my first hatch and the temps spiked last week. I am also excited to see how they look. Nothing was happening at 4:30 but when I checked at 6:30, the ten had already pipped. I can hear them chirping in the eggs. It is so cute. I can't wait.
