Wow, you have me beat by double, lol. I thought I was nuts. I started with 5 in February and have 48 in the yard and 6 in the brooder. That's funnyI get out a lot, but I'm just learning this chicken thing, and it's so neat. I wanted 14... And 7 months later I'm at 110
and I have more in the incubator
so eventually my getting out a lot, is going to be consumed with only chicken I suppose. I trip all mine out though, recorded one of the rosters crowing and I'll play it while I'm sitting with them and they all stare at me like they're going to eat me

About the egg song: I have one Buff Orpington that's laying (4 that aren't laying) and up until a month or so ago I thought she was the one making all the noise when she was getting ready to lay, laying, finished laying. By all accounts Buff Orpingtons are known to be noisy layers so I laid all the blame on her, lol. A few weeks ago she was making a ruckus so loud I went to make sure she was ok. It was my cockerel making at least half the noise, if not more.

Onward to snakes.
