Anyone ever had a T-shirt printed?

Thanks for the suggestions, old guy, but I live in Australia.

I'm thinking I might go with something like this:

Tee Junction (This one is$30)

or

Vista Print (Which is $20, but a less well known business.)

The one thing to consider when buying a printer is the price of the ink. We've gone through several printers where it turned out cheaper to buy a new printer than buy ink replacements lol. As a result I have several printers in my garage. The new one we got the ink even buying all 4 "colors" cost less than buying one cartrage for the old one... if that makes sense. Also we went for wireless this time around since I'm always printing, but not always in my office down the hall.... love it!

We've used Vista Print and also CafePress. I've also done t-shirts using the transfer paper from WalMart and ironing it on. The ones done with transfer paper don't hold up very well. They served our purpose when we needed t-shirts quickly for a special occasion - but parts of the transfer peeled off after the first wearing. CafePress is probably your cheapest way to go for something you want to wear more than a few times.

Thanks, I'll check that out!

I have plenty of Tshirts that have the designs peeling off them. Might as well get my money's worth if I'm going to do it.

Agreed, I really like cafepress.com if they ship to you overseas OP I would totally go that route. I love the design your own feature on the site I've used it for all my kids. Not just shirts either, mugs, bumperstickers, just about anything you want to put something on lol.

That's very cool! Thanks for the link, I'm on the website now - now isn't a custom mug what one has always wanted?

Great selection of products! I do hope they ship overseas. Or else I might have to track down an old friend who moved to the states...

VistaPrint is good! super cheap for first timers too! Just be sure to mark the box at the bottom at checkout. Otherwise, it entitles them to charge you for certain 'special offers' in the future...

I had some made for a business venture a couple years ago, and the screen printing is nice, but remember to go "up a size" lol... my medium shrank and the bosoms stretched out the lettering, making it not as fun to wear lol

Thanks for those tips! Glad someone warned me about the special offers, I hate it when you get lumped with those.

I do some cool photo editing effects and text and make ppl custom T Shirts through Vista Print. I design the shirt, order thru VistaPrint, have it shipped to me and then ship to you. I charge $17 a shirt. Here are some examples I did for people:

They're pretty creative! I've seen you auction shirts here on BYC too, it's a very good price.
