Seriously, has anyone ever seen anything like this come out of a chicken ?
I have no clue what this is but the white rock it came out of is big and healthy but certainly not feeling well right now.
After I found this under her this morning, I isolated her and watched her today.
I puked her once and she was rotten smelling so I dosed her with monostat.

I would think this is something that grew inside her as it is too big for a chicken to eat.
My girls constantly catch frogs, lizards and once in a while they dig up a mole and fight over it.

Anyone ever see anything like this or know what it is ?
Maybe she's an alien or this is some kind of worms. I have no clue but its certainly bizarre .

Do a search for lash egg and/or salpingitis in poultry.

It looks like a lash egg. Please google it. I’ve not had personal experience with it, but studied it. It contains puss and other material. Your hen need to be checked by a vet because it could be due to something more serious. Some say it is deadly. Others, who have personally dealt with it, say it’s treatable and they go on to live happy healthy lives! Good luck!

WOW, you nailed it. Lash egg.
Don't know what would cause this but I have some reading to do.
They have constant free access to crushed oyster shells and granite

reading about it now. I'm treating her rank crop with monistat for now to see if it gets better

ok, getting to an avian vet is a no go where im at.
So im looking for what antibiotics I have on hand.
It would appear that its guess work even with a vet doing it.
She's fat and healthy but not feeling good right now. I noticed her being off yesterday
and went out in the dark this morning and got her off the roost to check her crop and I had to puke her.
Thats when I noticed what was under her and took pics and dissected it for help identifying it.

It would seem that treating a girl that has sour crop with an antibiotic is a bad idea. Its a double edged sword to have sour crop and a possible infection.

update. I treated her for sour crop and when that calmed down I gave her 50mgs of doxycycline a day for 3 days, she did not improve and continued going down hill. she died 2 days ago :(

I am so sorry to hear that. It's frustrating that with chickens we are often left to our own devices to solve the issue. You did the best you could, which was more than many would do.
