Anyone experienced dead bodies?Update photos/home #149

"death as a normal part of living, the end of a cycle and inevitable as day following night."

Yes. Very well-said.

I worked in a PCH when I was in college. I have seen a few dead bodies. There is a certain smell, too. It would hit as I got off the elevator onto the floor.

I suppose I could say I'm lucky that the only folks I've seen have been my loved ones... so seeing them was healing... not traumatic. And the first of those wasn't until 19... great grandfather... indeed lucky.

If conditions were that bad, they might be wondering about owner/mom being responsible for the death... which would be VERY bad to say the least. That might explain the sheer number of police. But then once there, unable to proceed without hazmat per coroner's instructions might have hampered them?

I hope it's just general mess and not anything infectious... if you have to know I'd make sure hubby is protected with at least a mask before going over... even just to read a note... just because I'm a paranoid nut.

for having to see that.

Dumb question for debiraymond, do you have any idea what causes the random colors? Diet, meds, illness..........?
Just curious. I am slatted for cremation (hopefully not any time really soon) and now I am curious as to what color I will be.
(yes, my mind works in mysterious ways. lol)

If he was bloated he could have been dead for many days.

Someone should spread a little gasoline and torch the place.

...under the direction of proper authorities of course...

My sister is a mortician, so it's a daily thing, with her. I was doing some work, for her, one Christmas season, and she had a big fundraising dinner, to go to, a silient auction thing, so, she invited me, as a quest.

Well, on the way, she decided to give me a tour of the funeral home. Her partner, an enbalming and reconstructive specialist, was on duty, and would be at the dinner, a little later.

As we walked into one room, there he was, standing over a naked 80 year old woman, lying, sprawled out, on a stainless steel table, with blood still dripping out of the artery in her neck, where he had injected the embalming fluid.

"Thanks, Sis...Just what I needed to see, before dinner."

And it would be a good education tool for green firefighter on their first firefighting course!

Well the house is too close to either side, more like one driveway wide from each other.

This morning, she left for work.............same time and everything else. Or she could be going to a friend's house to get away. However I feel sorry for the dog which i do not see it anywhere.

I am not sure how long he was dead.....when the word gets around, we will find out.

Debi, it is neat to hear that our cremains will turn in different colors....a sand jewerly!!!!!!! Funny, thought they were all grey, black and white matters.

I am looking at the obits to see if there is anyone....I didn't remember his name at all even he has given it to us twice LOL! Duh moment!

Seen them when I started working at nursing homes at age 16.Never really bothered me unless the eyes were open,or if there was an exhale or some sort of movement AFTER the person had died.

omg,, sorry you had to see such a sight.
