I joined the rare breed group of facebook and just purchased more eggs than I should lol :th
Anyone purchased and successfully hatched from this farm?
Just curious. Pictures looked like good stock from what they showed.

I've heard good and bad. I've heard that the eggs are packed well, and that they hatch well. I've also heard that the birds that hatch can be bad quality. And that the owner has blocked and banned people from his groups for asking simple questions about his birds.

There are a lot of reviews of them on the Good Egg Bad Egg groups on Facebook. A decent number are positive, some are negative. Here are a few. They're picture heavy so I'll put them under spoilers.

This one is positive, because like I said there are some positive reviews for them, too. I won't do a ton of these though because they are pretty much all the same :) But if you join the group you can see them.

This one is semi-positive, but as you can see, once the birds were adults, they didn't lay eggs the right color for marans. They were also referred to as project birds, despite being sold at a high cost.

The mosaics they sell for big bucks don't breed true.

Hello! How did the hatch go? I just purchased some eggs for our broody. Buying online can be so difficult. And yeah, I just purchased a dozen more eggs that I really do not *need* either. Hahahaha

They package well. If I remember right, I hatched about 10% of their shipped but it was shipped like 500-600 miles so I didn't expect great. The bresse looked like good standard, the roosters are jerks though.

It's always a crap shoot with shipped eggs. I generally try to stay within state or a neighboring state when possible. Gold feather is in south Louisiana if I remember correctly. I'm in mid Missouri. It was around 600 miles. It was also pretty cold too. I want to say 24 eggs total hatched 3 bresse and one Swedish Flower hen. So like 16% actually.
I remember they were packed well. I didn't order mosiacs because they haven't bred enough generations to be a true breed yet, back then anyway.

I think I was extremely fortunate with my first Etsy purchase of barnyard mixes from a first time seller. All 12 arrived in great condition, all 12 hatched and all 12 made it to 15 weeks at which pullets went to new homes and cockerels went to the freezer. I guess I can only hope to be so lucky again :fl
