like the title says ... if you have experience doing this post up your results... i want to know if the birds were healthy and produced better eggs

yes my birds are all healthy but none of the ones I have hatched from chicks that I started from day one on organic feed are old enough to lay yet. My oldest is almost 6 weeks. but the eggs the mothers lays are very nice and strong thick shell so I suspect ttheir offspring will lay nice eggs as well provided their nutrition is correct. My 1 year old roo who was also raised only organically is very healthy and beautiful also.

oh I know it does not mean anything, but... the new birds I got were on regular feed and they were not healthy, I only planned to use them in a breeding program so I was not as concerned about their past food, but ended up not keeping them. But all the chicks I raised that are now adults that always ate just organic feed are very healthy and doing good.

Most of my flock grew up on organic feed with no vaccinations or medications of any kind. They're all big and healthy. I've never had any health problems with any of them (but then, I haven't had any health problems with the RSLs who did have the "conventional" start to their lives).

I did give them regular feed for a couple months over the summer, but by then they were full grown. They're back on the organic feed, as well as all my chicks.
