Anyone from Louisiana?

Hi Scuezme,
Welcome to the party. Glad to have you on board with the rest of us chicken fanatics. What part of south LA are you in? There's several of us down here.

Greetings & Welcome Scuezme!

I don't live in LA any more, although I was born and raised down in The Parish (St. Bernard).

I'm fairly new also, but I have found that the people here are great. The best chicken resource on the web!

Mark,
ex-Chalmation now living in the hills of Arkansas

Hi there is a feed store(feed mill) called Petrus Feeds. It is owned by Joel Petrus. Can't remember the name of the road that it is on but it is to find. He has chicks, supplies and feed. They are honest people. If they don't have certain birds most of the time he can order it for you. here is address and phone (318) 443-5929
2914 N Bolton Ave, Alexandria, LA
I think that it is also known as highway 1. Just type in info. into yahoo maps for driving directions.

Hi how far down south are you? I live in the south west corner. I am Yogiman's next door neighbor. Well almost just a few miles apart in Sulphur are you anywhere close.

HI! Sorry so long on getting back on here. We had computer problems, had to buy a new computer and get another internet provider. What a headache for a little while, this is my second week online and first chance to get on BYC.

Yes, I know where Fourchon is, seems like another world and not part of what you expect in Louisiana at all! Everyone needs to go see it though, I think it is interesting. I wish I would have brought my camera with me.

This is another lady on here that lives in Jena, I am maybe 30 - 35 minutes from there and 17 miles north of Alexandria, La. I go through Jena every two weeks! Small world! More and more people on here are from our part of the South, so cool!!!

Talk to ya soon!
