Anyone getting chicks shipped from Meyer today? Want to wait with me?

I live in CT too, I have been worried about the long trip they will take. It's comforting to hear that yours are doing fine! What part of CT do you live in? How long were they in transit? Sorry for so many questions I'm just nervous!

@Lynette: So very sad to hear about all the loses of those sweet chicks. I am so glad your others are doing well. Mine are healthy and happy today too. (Maybe one slow chick, I'm keeping an eye out for that one-I think it will be fine though)
Congrats to everyone's new chickies!

HuskerIowa, if you call Meyer they'll at least give you credit for the little Faverolle. Or they'll replace it and ship it to you... if you buy two more to keep it company!

Meyer from my experience sends the chicks out via Express Mail, not Priority, so you should have them the next day. But that's just my experience!

I got a call from the post office yesterday letting me know that chicks had arrived for me from Meyer. I wasn't expecting any! I'm sick in bed with stupid walking pneumonia, so my son picked up the chicks (and get well wishes) from the post office for me. It turns out that these were the replacement chicks for the ones they sent out last week (all three of last week's died; the heat pack was accidentally left out of their shipping box). I wasn't expecting such a quick turn around for the replacements, which arrived with TWO heat packs and are happy and healthy 24 hours after they arrive. They are absolutely adorable!

I've named them Marie-Claire (the Blue Splash Maran), Marie-Noire (the Black Copper Maran with the almost all-black face), and Marie-Creme (the Black Copper Maran with the cream and black face). I would've named her Marie Blanche, but after divorcing my mother my father married a woman named Marie Blanc and that wouldn't have sat too well with my mother!

Thank you, Meyer (Charlotte, Jess, Maggie, and everyone there!)!

So glad your chicks made it this time. I am waiting for the same order (3 French Hens)

to arrive next week. They will have a little long trip to Montana. so sure hope they add a couple heat packs! I ordered 6 chicks from My Pet Chicken (shipped from Meyers) the end of February and they all arrived just fine.
