Anyone ging to the KY state Fair?

I plan on selling a few Ameraucana banties while I am there. I would love to enter some in the show, but mine are too young. Anyone else going?

And the poultry show starts Thursday the fourteenth thru Sunday the seventeenth.

It sounds like a great possiblility since I have friends and family in the area. I will start making arrangements or see who will be home that week. If I decide to stayover.

I really want to go and look for some new girls to bring home (too many of mine turned out to be of the male persuasion), but wasn't sure how much selling went on. Are there usually buyable birds? I was thinking it might be more of a show.

My DH and his dad sets up there with prints/originals every year...If any of you Ky folks art familiar with Fred Thrasher's prints/originals, well, he's my FIL.
Our DS was going to enter a couple of the chickens in the show but being the newby that I am I didn't read the correct date on the deadline and was a day too late(no exceptions). But we'll probably go up on Friday after school and stay til Sunday...I'm going to let him chat with owners and get info on showing...Maybe we'll see some of you guys up there. I'll pay closer attn next year to the deadline, DS was really disappointed.

There is a lot of selling at the fair, especially on Sunday. Some of the show birds will be for sale, but can't be released until Sunday, and there are sale coops set up everyday.
