I was told from a breeder who knows her stuff, that when you get the fertile eggs just leave them to sit for a day so that the eggs content can settle before starting to form, place in room temperature. But that was a 30minute car trip with them sitting in my lap. So not 100% sure on shipping time, i can text her if you want me to I'm sure she will know.hey all,
i've got a question about settling shipped eggs and turning....:
how many days do you let your eggs settles (shipped in the mail) before you start turning them? i read 1-2 days and some have even suggested 7..... any thoughts? or tips?
i have 35 call duck eggs that i've just put in the bator and i do so want to hatch them.....
don
Not sure I'm understanding this part of storing : "tipping one end of the carton up in the morning then the other end in the afternoon"
I am going to be putting all my collected eggs in the incubator Wednesday. I do or don't turn them while storing them before putting them in the incubator?
oh Sweet that is terrible! but wow, the shipper gave you that many extra?! how cool is that! Hope you get lots of chicks from the ones that are left! I'm hoping that they were in more than one box so that at least there is a chance some of them got an easy ride!
