I have a Barred Cochin rooster over a Black Cochin hen......so I read this with great interest. Will their babies simply have some barring or will some come out black and some come out barred? They are in the incubator now and I am looking forward to having more cochins.....so sweet.

I am as of tonight on day 8.

I don't have Cochins, so no idea how it would look, but barred males do pass barring on to all their progeny in some form or another.

i know that eggs can be developing well and then just stop. how can you tell? is there any way other than them not hatching? i'm at day 13 now. not too worried about mine now just wondering. thanks
