The kids I have now are 7-15, the older kids are more of the behavior problem kids. I will say though since doing the ag thing to help with schooling and rewards I have had no behavior problems at all.

We have no sexlink breeds... So I guess we will just have to keep record on the numbers and see what adds up. Now, the leghorn eggs were so much bigger then the rest, they all look rounded, so all the kids said girls, but honestly I couldn't of told the difference if my life depended on it. Their just BIG EGGS, I mean huge eggs. I have store eggs (extra large kind that you get double yokes in) not this big, is that normal for leghorn eggs?

jcfuente - so sorry about your hen!! That's very sad.

Your incubator is a gem! Nice double fan.

What kind of eggs do you have?

i set about 30 eggs on thursday eve. due to hatch on april 7th. so i'm in too. my first time. i have mostly shipped eggs and a dozen from a friend. good luck to all.

Hey, does anyone know of a good book with pictures on chick development that is target for about middle school ages? I can only find early reader books that are about kindergarten level and advanced embryology texts for college/graduate school. I'd love to have something to read with my kids so we can follow the development going on in the eggs.
